Combining the cold North with the traditional South, Barrell Craft Spirits 16 year old Gray Label Seagrass rye whisky is a collaboration of American and Canadian rye whisky finished in three different casks; Martinique rum, Madeira, and Apricot Brandy casks. Matured for 16 years and distilled in Canada, this rye was originally launched in March 2021 with a cask strength of 130.82 proof. On the nose, the senses savor shimmering tones of rye spice with hints of dill and mustard seeds baked into rye toast slathered with mulched bark. The palate coats the mouth with ribbons of peanut oil and shaved coconut paired with boughs of tea tree essence and citrus spiced Madeira wine.
