Named after a shoulder strain master distillers suffered when malting barley, Monkey Shoulder Batch 27 is a blend of 3 different Speyside whiskies in carefully selected 27 barrel batches. A blend of Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie whiskey, this decadent NAS malt Scotch contains a mash bill of 100% barley with a finished barrel strength of 86 proof. The nose opens with layers of island fruits followed by sweet malted grain, Sweet Lips candies, caramel, and warm spice. The palate is warm with tones of malt, spice, cream, and grass between notes of licorice.
