Old Forester 1870 Original Batch Kentucky Straight Bourbon 750ml Bottle

In honor of the 1870 founding of Old Forester in Louisville Kentucky’s historical Whiskey Row, Old Forester Distiller offers up their 1870 Original Batch Kentucky straight bourbon. Original Batch is crafted from hand-selected barrels taken from three different warehouses with individual entry proofs and varying age profiles. Composed of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley, this rich bourbon is finished in new charred casks and aged for a minimum of 4+ years with a matured cask strength of 90% proof. The nose opens with layers of cherries, oak, and brewed coffee blended with vanilla and cake batter spiced with cinnamon. The palate carries notes of caramel, dried fruits, maple, and cocoa over oak and baked biscuits.
