Suntory The Hakushu 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky 30ml Bottle

A perennial favorite and a must-try for anyone interested in discovering Japanese whisky, the wonderfully peated Hakushu 12 year old Single Malt Whisky hails from Hakushu distillery, owned by world-renowned Suntory. The distillery itself resides in the dark forests of Mt. Kaikomagatake and was originally built in 1973. Another building was added in 1981, called Hakushu Higashi. Rather fittingly, this exceptional Japanese single malt boasts a fresh and foresty flavor profile, seemingly mirroring the thick forests it calls home. Hakushu 12 is aged for a minimum of 12 years in virgin American white oak casks and swirls with aromatic mists of dewy foliage, crisp citrus, and honey. The palate pops with oranges, grapefruit, and oak smothered in macerated blueberries.
