Honing in on the refined and beloved legacy of The Macallan, The Macallan Exceptional Single Cask collection offers up singularly distinctive bottles of malt scotch with individualized flavors and a personality all their own. Cask 2018/ESB-9064/03 is limited to 613 bottles, finished in European Oak Sherry Butt casks, and was bottled in May 2018. This whisky blooms with an aroma pilfered throughout with hits of wild bramble raspberries, aged oak, and melted dark chocolate spiced with shaved ginger paired with hints of softly baked apple crumble slathered in butter. The tongue is enrobed in pops of dark berry notes soon followed by warmly toasted spices, slivers of oak, and deeply intense sweetness.
