Aged for a minimum of 6 years in #4 alligator char barrels with an undisclosed mash bill theorized to contain 52% rye, 36% corn, and 12% malted barley, Russell’s Reserve 6 Rye is finished to a barrel strength of 90 proof and is an ongoing release offered in limited quantities to ensure the utmost in consistency and quality. The nose is sweet with hints of vanilla, melted butter with lemon, citrus, and golden apples. On the tongue are silky tones of sugared almond butter, fresh cookies, and honey-dipped lemons blended with mint.
