A.H. Hirsch Reserve 16 year old Blue Wax straight bourbon is a rare animal indeed – and one definitively worthy of any true collectible whiskey hunter! This limited edition bourbon was produced from 400 barrels with a bottle yield of merely 4,244 cases worldwide and was originally distilled in 1974 by the now abandoned Michter’s distillery in PA. Created from an undisclosed mash bill, this highly coveted bourbon has a matured barrel strength of 91.6 proof with a nose boldly hued by warm oak and wild honeysuckle blooms over delicate spice. The palate enjoys rivers of caramel and cinnamon spice paired with cardamom seeds and lasting notes of aged oak.
