Dark red like the shimmering tones of a ruby, Black Button Distilling Single Barrel straight bourbon is a rich, deeply hued marvel finished in port casks and sublimed blended with a mash bill of corn, wheat, malted barley, and rye. Aged for 2 years in new oak barrels and then another 3 years in Port barrels, this decadent bourbon is an ongoing release from Black Button Distilling and comes in at a cask proof of 118.8%. The nose wafts in with hues of dark raisins and aged leather over tones of crushed grapes and rye coated in cinnamon. On the tongue, the palate is rife with hits of soft tannin and leather over cinnamon-spiced raisins and a touch of dark earth.
