One of the newest in this line of winners is their Bulleit Barrel Strength bourbon, a NAS blend of 5-8 year old bourbon released in April 2016 with a cask strength of 118-125 proof. Bulleit Barrel Strength contains a mash bill of 68% corn, 28% rye, and 4 % malted barley and was originally released under a limited run of just 3,000 cases to select markets. The nose opens with hits of vanilla cream and caramel over layers of peppered cinnamon stalks and sweet butterscotch pudding. On sipping, melt into more cinnamon spice with notes of pepper, oak, and sweet dark fruit.
